Dr. Ahmed is a graduate of a highly prestigious medical institution King Edward Medical University. After completing his initial training in Internal Medicine and Neurology, he pursued further education in the field of Epidemiology and attended the School of Public Health, University of Alabama at Birmingham and was awarded Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree.
Due to his interest in the field of mental illness and human behavior, Dr.Ahmed decided to pursue his career in the field of Psychiatry and joined a highly accredited residency training program in Psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, Memphis, Tennessee. After completion of his training he has worked in various settings including inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care. Helping people with mental illness is his passion.
Dr.Ahmed is a Diplomate of American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and Board Certified in Psychiatrist. He has vast experience in treating psychiatric disorders especially Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia,Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety, PTSD and Autism. His evaluations are very detailed and comprehensive and his treatment plans are based on the latest research and practice guidelines of American Psychiatric Association. He has admitting privileges at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, Michigan.
